It was issued to the Leicester Tigers player, Peter Wheeler, who was given the squad #17 for the match against Natal, on the 23rd July 1983. Once the player returned home, it was given to the f\u003cspan\u003eormer Leicester Tigers first team secretary, President and stadium announcer, Tudor Thomas. The jersey remained in their private collection until it was purchased by ourselves in 2026.
